Job summary

Sabre is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to join the PNR SRE Team in Krakow. You will focus on stabilizing and scaling the Reservations suite, building automation, and improving release velocity while upholding high reliability and excellent customer experience.

You will collaborate with global teams across the US, Poland and India, applying SRE best practices, blameless postmortems and robust monitoring to reduce toil and improve observability.

Qualifications

• GCP knowledge is required.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Good collaboration within the team and across the organization.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts is essential.
• Familiarity with Jenkins.
• Experience with containerized tech: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX, Terraform, shell scripting, networking.
• Experience with monitoring/alerting tools: AppDynamics, Google Cloud ops, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch.
• Experience with Change Management processes.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to learn and self-discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide application on-call support (8-12 hour shifts).
• Lead incident investigations for production issues.
• Review and validate changes to ensure stability and safety.
• Build alerting and monitoring for services in GCP and beyond.
• Improve reliability through SRE practices and to reduce toil.
• Support infra deployments and CI/CD pipelines for prod readiness.
• Own services, manage risks, and handle KTLO tasks.
• Mentor teams and provide guidance on best practices.
