SimCorp is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Portfolio Analytics product area in Warsaw. You will work in an agile team of 5–7, focusing on backend services, C#, APIs, and cloud-ready architectures.
The role emphasizes performance, maintainability, CI/CD, and collaboration with an international team. You will mentor others, explore new technologies, and contribute to the ongoing modernization of our product.
As our newLeadSoftware Engineer, you will joinSimCorp’sProduct Division, a full-scale agile organization. You will be working in an agile team of about 5-7 people. The team works on ourSimCorpDimension product. In your daily work you will – together with your team - understand and challenge customer requirements, discuss solutions, implement and test the chosen solution, and support it. We use a variety of tools, but the main ones are C#, APL and an Oracle database. You will mainly be working with backend and APIs.
The present and near future main topics are good maintainability, high system performance, continuous integration and delivery, and reshaping our product for the cloud.
In addition to implementing customer features, it is essential for us to continuously improve on all levels: company, division, product area, team, and individual. Your daily work life will thus also include topics such as “how can we reduce our build time”, “how can we rearchitect this component to perform significantly faster”, and “how can we work together in a more fun and effective way”.

We are looking for aLeadSoftware Engineer to join an agile team in Portfolio Analytics Product Area.
We use a multitude of tools and technologies such as Visual Studio, C#,DyalogAPL within the areas of development and software configuration management.
In your daily work, you will - together with your team
Work with the product team to understand and refine client requirements
Design and implement solutions that are scalable, secure and in line with the product architecture
Contribute to continuous improvements to core engineering practices in the product area to ensure readable, secure, and testable code as well as effective ways of working
Over time, become a recognized product expert in at least one domain of our product and have the curiosity to develop knowledge in more domains.
We expect you to be good at several of the following and are interested in learning the rest.
Advanced C# skills and insight into the .NET framework
Be able to learn additional technologies (like APL)
Experience with developing and integrating middle and backend services and APIs
You are interested and able to work within the architecture of an enterprise solution
Actively work with improvements relating to tool stack and engineering practices (CI/CD pipelines, test-driven development, telemetry, etc)
You useAI as part of practical engineering work, including exploring ideas, understanding unfamiliar code, generating prototypes, improving tests, documenting decisions and automating routine tasks
You have good English skills and thrive in an international work environment
You have an M.Sc. in Computer Science or a similar field, or an equivalent level of experience
Practical experience within financial instruments and financial investment systems is of course an advantage, but not a prerequisite for the job. It is more important that you take an interest in learning this field. We will bring you up to speed using technical and domain discussions, training, and a comprehensive onboarding program.
