Job summary

SimCorp in Warszawa is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to strengthen our Private Debt initiative within a finance-focused product stack. You will design and implement test automation in C# and related frameworks, execute manual testing, and collaborate across teams to define robust, testable requirements.

We value hands-on testers who can automate critical scenarios, contribute to CI/CD, and are eager to learn APL, supported by comprehensive training.

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

We are building and evolving Private Debt, a top-priority project for SimCorp right now and we are expanding the area to meet increasing client demand and deliver more outcomes. We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in test automation and a solid foundation in manual testing to ensure our product remains robust and reliable. You will also have the opportunity, and need, to learn APL, a functional programming language used in key parts of our stack. Prior experience with APL isn’t required, we provide comprehensive training and a supportive environment to help you succeed. Our company also partly owns Dyalog APL, ensuring the language remains actively maintained and relevant.

This is a great fit if you're a hands-on QA engineer who enjoys digging into code, designing automated tests, and wants to broaden your programming skills in new paradigms.

This role is pivotal in accelerating delivery cycles while maintaining high product quality. By automating critical test scenarios and integrating them into the CI/CD pipeline, you’ll help reduce manual testing effort, catch defects early, and ensure faster, more reliable releases-directly impacting customer satisfaction and business agility.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Design, build, and maintain test automation frameworks using APL, C# and related tools
• Execute manual and exploratory testing to validate complex financial solutions and edge cases
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product owners to define clear, testable requirements
• Analyze and report bugs with clarity and precision
• Learn and apply APL to automate solutions built in this language (full training provided)
• Contribute to continuous integration, quality gates, and deployment pipelines

What We Value

• 3+ years of experience in QA or software engineering with a focus on test automation
• Proficiency in C# and .NET testing frameworks like SpecFlow/Reqnroll
• Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Comfortable with manual testing in complex business domains (ideally finance or data-heavy systems)
• Solid experience testing APIs, services, and data pipelines
• A willingness and curiosity to learn APL, no prior experience required, but enthusiasm is essential
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
