Micro Technologies is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to build and lead a new engineering team in Poland. You will design and deliver modern software for the Pharmaceutical TMF space, balancing hands-on coding with architectural leadership.

You will champion quality, security and best practices while driving Agile processes and mentoring engineers. Remote-first in Poland with an optional office in Lublin, you’ll influence engineering culture and shape what comes next.

**Lead Software Engineer** **Remote - Poland** *Optional office base in Lublin*We’re looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help us build something exciting from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to launch and lead a new engineering team in Poland, shaping the way we design, build and deliver modern software for the pharmaceutical industry. If you enjoy combining hands-on engineering, technical leadership, and team building, this role offers the chance to make a real impact from day one. You’ll work on next-generation software solutions for the Pharmaceutical Trial Master File (TMF) space - a fast-evolving area where technology, data and AI are transforming how clinical trial documentation is managed. **What you’ll be doing*** Building and leading a high-performing software engineering team in Poland* Designing and developing scalable, modern software solutions* Acting as a hands-on technical leader across architecture, coding and delivery* Championing high standards in quality, security and engineering best practice* Driving Agile ways of working, including planning, refinement, stand-ups and retrospectives* Mentoring engineers and helping create a strong, collaborative engineering culture* Supporting the adoption of AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude* Partnering with colleagues across a distributed global organisation #LI-AT2.**What we’re looking for*** Strong software engineering experience, including building production-grade systems* Experience leading or acting as technical lead for engineering teams* A background in modern web development, with technologies such as C#, .NET Core, SQL and React* Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and scalable system design* Experience with areas such as Azure or AWS or GCP, microservices, containerisation, Kubernetes and CI/CD* A passion for modern engineering practices, including AI-augmented development* Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in distributed teams* Fluent English **Why this role stands out*** Remote-first in Poland* Office available in Lublin if you’d prefer a base there - but this is completely optional* Chance to build a team from scratch and influence engineering culture* Opportunity to work in a sector where software can make a meaningful difference* A role with real ownership, variety and room to shape what comes next If you’re a lead engineer who loves solving complex problems, growing teams and building modern software in a forward-looking environment, we’d love to hear from you.
