Job summary

CSHARK is seeking a Senior/Lead Product & Platform Engineer to join a global product development team focused on enhancing a core platform with scalable, reusable capabilities. You will work with Kotlin/Java on GCP to build REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems, while mentoring peers and driving high-quality engineering decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a Java/Kotlin developer.
• Strong experience with Kotlin and Java in production.
• Proven skills in GCP, including Cloud Run, Compute Engine and storage.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Redis and Firestore.
• Hands-on CI/CD, Docker and automated deployments.
• Strong English communication in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance a core product platform.
• Work with Kotlin and Java on GCP to build scalable services.
• Create REST APIs and microservices with asynchronous processing.
• Manage PostgreSQL, Redis and Firestore integrations.
• Develop CI/CD and deployment automation using Docker.
• Ensure testing, monitoring, logging and performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and mentor engineers.
• Build reusable capabilities and accelerate development with AI tooling.
• Mentor other engineers and communicate technical decisions clearly.

We arelooking foraSenior / Lead Product & Platform Engineer tojoin aproduct development team working onacore platform focused onproduct enhancement, performance, reusable capabilities andcomplex engineering.

You will work closely withaninternational team, contribute tothedevelopment oftheplatform andmentor engineers joining theproject.

Your Daily Missions

• Developing andenhancing acore product platform.
• Working withKotlin andJava onGCP.
• Building REST APIs, microservices andasynchronous processing solutions.
• Working withPostgreSQL, Redis andFirestore.
• Developing CI/CD anddeployment automation using Docker.
• Ensuring proper testing, monitoring, logging andperformance.
• Troubleshooting production issues.
• Building reusable capabilities andsolutions.
• Using AI coding tools toaccelerate development while verifying generated code.
• Mentoring other engineers andcommunicating technical decisions clearly.

TheEssentials We’re Seeking

• Minimum 5 years ofcommercial experience as aJava Developer.
• Strong commercial experience withKotlin andJava.
• Strong experience withGCP, including Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM andnetworking.
• Strong written andspoken English (C1), withexperience working inaninternational environment.
• Experience withREST APIs, microservices anddistributed systems.
• Experience withPostgreSQL, Redis andFirestore.
• Experience withCI/CD, Docker andautomated deployments.
• Understanding ofretrieval grounding, moderation andhallucination management.
• Ability toquickly work inanunfamiliar Kotlin/GCP codebase using AI coding tools.
• Strong engineering judgement andareusability mindset.
• Ability towork independently andmentor other engineers.
• Experience withhigh availability, fault tolerance, high-throughput / low-latency systems, concurrency orcaching.
• Experience withOAuth / OIDC / JWT, secrets management orencryption.
• Experience withvoice orconversational AI.
• Experience incollections, contact-centre orfinancial services.
