Job summary

TransLash Media is seeking a Director of Podcast Production to lead the podcast department, shaping editorial direction and ensuring high quality across all podcast initiatives. You will supervise Senior Producers and work with the Executive Producer to translate creative vision into production plans.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of podcasting and audio production experience with at least 3 years in team leadership
• Strong editorial judgment reviewing scripts for factual accuracy and alignment with TransLash voice
• Ability to manage multiple projects on time and on budget with high editorial standards
• Experience managing budgets, workflows, and departmental resources
• Strategic thinker able to align department goals with organizational objectives and partnerships
• Experience working with high-profile executives and senior leadership in collaborative settings
• Experience creating culturally competent coverage for TGNC communities
• Willingness to travel occasionally for leadership alignment

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the podcast department and supervise Senior Producers.
• Oversee intake, feasibility, and alignment with priorities.
• Develop scalable intake and workflow systems.
• Align podcast strategy with organizational goals with leadership.
• Review scripts for factual accuracy and editorial standards.
• Ensure on-time delivery within approved scope.
• Coordinate scheduling, budgeting with Ops and Senior Producers.
• Refine workflows across development to delivery.
• Mentor and evaluate Senior Producers.
• Manage external partnerships and platform collaborations.
• Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional storytelling.
