Job summary

Astek Polska, part of the Astek Group, seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer for an engineering client. Lead implementation and improvement projects from initiation to delivery, defining scope and success criteria while coordinating cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a university degree, 5+ years in project management, and strong PMO knowledge. Fluency in English (German a plus) and PM certifications are preferred. Long-term collaboration and professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold a university degree; PM education is an advantage.
• At least 5 years of hands-on project management experience with a proven track record.
• Strong understanding of PMO processes and project methodologies.
• Proficiency in applying project management tools across the lifecycle.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders up to senior management.
• Solid planning, organizational, and communication skills with stakeholder management.
• Ability to manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables.
• Fluent in English; German knowledge is a plus.
• PRINCE2, PMP or PMI certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and continuous improvement projects from initiation through delivery.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, plans, and schedules.
• Build and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
• Manage project budgets and ensure objectives are met.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide regular status updates to the Management Board.
• Mentor team members to develop PM skills and experience.
• Develop and improve project management processes across the organization.
