Job summary

Tetra Pak is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to accelerate the growth of Processing Services within the Ice Cream business, installing and commissioning equipment, providing high-quality technical support and training at customer sites.

The role involves up to 60-70% travel, primarily to Italy, with a permanent position and a focus on safety, quality and customer relationships across production environments.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, commissioning and maintaining industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and automation troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working directly with customers and stakeholders.
• Ability to identify commercial opportunities and support sales with internal teams.
• Commitment to safety, quality and food standards.
• English proficient; Italian language desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead preventive maintenance activities and ensure scope compliance.
• Install, commission and validate performance of capital equipment at customer sites.
• Reinstate equipment/lines into production after service.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electro-mechanical and automation issues with remote support when needed.
• Conduct root cause analysis for permanent resolution.
• Manage technical issues per QTIM process and escalate as needed.
• Deliver operator and maintenance training on-site or remotely.
• Lead capital equipment installations at customer sites.
• Ensure work meets food safety and product quality standards.
• Lead daily customer contact and manage the operational relationship.
