Job summary

Baker Hughes in Poland is seeking a Lead Engineer Mechanical Components – Hot Gas Path Stator SME to drive technical decisions, improve durability, and guide lifecycle management of gas turbine HGP components such as nozzles and shrouds. You will lead cross-functional teams across engineering centers and suppliers to deliver robust, cost‑effective solutions.

The role requires a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and strong experience with FEA, materials, and hardware of HGP stator components.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar required.
• Experience with FEA, structural life assessment, and durability analyses.
• Strong ability to communicate complex technical information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities for HGP stator components and act as SME.
• Coordinate workstreams in strategic projects and fleet modernization.
• Evaluate designs, identify risks, and support decision making.
• Support qualification, test planning, and certification activities.
• Provide root-cause analyses and field issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
• Communicate findings to leadership and ensure quality standards.
• Develop and promote digital engineering tools and data-driven methods.
