Job summary

Baker Hughes in Poland is seeking an Engineer - Gas Turbine Performance and Operability to develop expertise in turbine performance, thermodynamics, and gas composition analysis, while contributing to real customer projects.

You will work with experienced engineers to analyze gas turbine and combined cycle performance, using industry simulators and engineering tools; this role provides on-the-job training and a clear path to independent technical and client-facing work.

Qualifications

• Degree in power engineering or chemical and process engineering or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of gas turbine thermodynamics and fuel combustion.
• Basic knowledge of steam turbine and combined cycle thermodynamics.
• Experience with gas turbine and power plant simulators and process/dynamic system simulators.
• Programming and data analysis skills in engineering applications.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the full product development and execution processes starting from early project stages supporting feasibility activities to position Gas Turbine products and solutions including Combine Cycle
• Driving units and/or system level functional performance to deliver customer solutions
• Calculating and reporting performance with respect to the guaranteed values in accordance with industry codes and standards
• Preparing the fuel burnability feasibility studies
• Participating in the design, development, and enhancement of technologies in the areas of performance, operability, and combustion
• Leading analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods
• Communicating across direct organization and presents to leader in specific technical space and on cross functional teams
