Job summary

Valmet is hiring a Lead Engineer for Rebuilds and Conversions in Warsaw, with flexible consideration for Gliwice, Poland, and Darmstadt, Germany. You will lead process engineering for boiler rebuilds and conversions, collaborating with global teams to modernize power boilers and drive the shift to renewables.

This role requires a master’s or bachelor’s in energy/thermal/chemical processing, strong boiler experience, and willingness to travel 20–40 days per year across Poland, Germany, and Czech

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in thermal, energy, environmental, chemical, or process engineering.
• Strong experience in boiler processes and related roles.
• Excellent communication in English; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering for boiler rebuilds and conversions in delivery projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure technical excellence.
• Support sales projects by defining technical concepts and preparing specifications.
• Provide theoretical training for customers and assist commissioning during project completion.
• Drive innovation by developing new solutions and processes meeting evolving environmental standards.
