Job summary

Valmet in Warsaw (also Gliwice and Darmstadt) seeks a Lead Engineer for Rebuilds and Conversions to modernize power boilers and shift from fossil fuels to renewables. You will lead process engineering in delivery projects and collaborate across disciplines.

You will travel globally 20–40 days per year, work with customers and suppliers, and help define technical concepts, training, and commissioning support, ensuring environmental standards are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in thermal, energy, environmental, chemical, or process engineering.
• Strong experience with boiler processes and related industry roles.
• Willingness to travel globally 20–40 days per year.
• Fluent English; Polish/German are assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering for boiler rebuilds and conversions in delivery projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure technical excellence.
• Support sales projects by defining technical concepts and preparing specifications.
• Provide theoretical training for customers and assist commissioning during project completion.
• Drive innovation by developing new solutions and processes that meet evolving environmental standards.
