Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY SERVICES SP. Z O.O. in Kraków seeks an Innovation Research Lead to oversee proactive AI and digital technology research, horizon scanning, and technology foresight. You will coordinate analysts, deliver evidence-based insights, and guide an enterprise-wide innovation path.

You will maintain knowledge repositories, adapt outputs to evolving company needs, and mentor junior team members within an Innovation-as-a-Service context.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in emerging digital technology research or related fields.
• Strong research and analytical skills across AI, data, and digital technologies.
• Experience producing technology landscape comparisons, feasibility assessments, and vendor evaluations.
• Familiarity with innovation lifecycle concepts: insights, validation, PoC, delivery.
• Excellent documentation for non-specialist audiences; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Lead horizon scanning research and technology foresight for innovation topics.
• Coordinate input from multiple contributors and guide junior analysts.
• Translate findings into evidence-based technology recommendations for internal needs.
• Produce structured outputs: technology landscape summaries, option comparisons, feasibility findings.
• Maintain reusable innovation intelligence repositories and trend profiles.
• Present outputs in clear formats for diverse stakeholders.
