Job summary

Hitachi Energy Services SP. z o.o. Krakow seeks an Innovation Research Lead to drive proactive research on emerging digital technologies, including AI, and to assess internal innovation needs.

You will coordinate contributions, deliver concise technology landscape outputs, and guide junior analysts. The role focuses on creating actionable recommendations and maintaining knowledge repositories that support the company’s innovation agenda.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of professional experience in emerging digital technology research, technology scouting, technology foresight, innovation consulting, market intelligence, or applied AI research in an enterprise context.
• Strong research and analytical skills across AI, data, and digital technologies, with experience producing technology landscape comparisons, feasibility assessments, and vendor evaluations.
• Fluent English and ability to prepare clear written materials for non-specialist audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead emerging technology research, horizon scanning, and technology foresight for innovation topics.
• Coordinate analytical contributors and ensure outputs are clear, concise, and actionable.
• Produce structured evidence packages including technology landscape summaries and option comparisons.
• Maintain reusable innovation intelligence repositories and trend reports.
• Guide and coordinate junior analysts and oversee quality of research outputs.
