Visa Hunt is seeking a Lead DevOps / Observability Engineer to drive the migration of the observability stack from New Relic and Datadog to Grafana, using Prometheus, Loki, and Tempo. The role blends DevOps, platform engineering, and application instrumentation; design the target architecture, build IaC with Terraform, and coordinate across teams for a smooth cutover.

Qualifications

Hands-on Grafana experience for dashboards, alerts, and data sources.
Experience migrating from New Relic or Datadog to Grafana.
Full-stack capability across apps and infra, not just infrastructure.
Strong AWS, EKS, and Kubernetes in production environments.
Terraform and IaC proficiency for scalable architecture.
GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tooling experience.
Familiarity with Codex or AI-assisted coding tools.

Responsibilities

Lead the migration of monitoring, alerting, and dashboards from New Relic and Datadog to Grafana.
Design and implement the target observability architecture and IaC (Terraform) to support it.
Audit dashboards and alerts to ensure parity and complete migration inventory.
Instrument applications and modify code for metrics, logs, and traces.
Collaborate with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker teams to deploy the new stack.
Coordinate cutover across multiple teams with minimal disruption.
Address security issues and document architecture and procedures.
