Digest in Poland is seeking an experienced Lead Developer to take on managerial responsibilities within the product team. You will be involved in hands-on development while leading the team, ensuring high-quality software delivery and mentoring developers.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer to take on newly assigned managerial responsibilities within our product team Brand Payment and Indirect Procurement. This role entails a deep involvement in both hands‑on development and team leadership, ensuring high-quality software delivery while mentoring and guiding the development team. The product team operates within the Operation domain and Corporate Services tribe (Finance & HR). The aim of the product is to provide a centralized platform for gathering, managing, and sharing B2B financial data with SAP S/4Hana cloud. You will also be close to our business to improve our B2B financial cockpit and to be involved in future improvements following some European law changes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other tech leads and architects to define and apply development standards, architectural guidelines, and coding practices
• Ensure code quality through the implementation of automated testing and code reviews
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement
• Ensure high performance and scalability of the developed solutions, keeping in mind user experience and business requirements
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (primarily product owners, designers, QA, etc.) to ensure that development efforts are aligned with product and business needs
• Define technical guidelines for the team based on business needs, in close collaboration with the product owner, developers, QAs, SREs, and Solution Architects
• Choose the most appropriate technologies for product needs
• Ensure the team follows guidelines and maintains high code quality, adhering to DevOps and QA practices
• Lead and manage the development team, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the successful completion of projects
• Mentor and coach developers to enhance their technical skills, promote best practices, and encourage professional growth
• Facilitate team meetings (e.g., daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) to ensure effective communication and collaboration
• Participate in HR cycles (FIT, TR, skill matrix evaluation, 121…) and the definition & assessment of OKRs with the support and coaching of the Lead IT; conduct regular 1:1 meetings with developers to assess progress, address challenges, and align on individual goals
• Engage in technical exchanges with a Tech Lead and with an Architecte
