Citi Solutions Center Poland seeks a Lead Cyber Security Engineer to drive design, acquisition, and deployment of security infrastructure in collaboration with the Technology team. You will ensure high-quality security frameworks aligned with Citi's standards while shaping scalable architectures and roadmaps across on-premises and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, technology infrastructure, or IT engineering in a large enterprise.
• Leadership and proven track record in large-scale programs or technology transformation initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with micro-segmentation and network segmentation technologies (Illumio, VMware vDefend, Zscaler, Palo Alto).
• Deep knowledge of cloud security, firewalls, and network segmentation concepts.
• Understanding of industry security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Owns delivery across multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex tech to non-tech stakeholders.
• Linux/Unix system administration desirable.
• Knowledge of proxy functionalities and network traffic management.

Responsibilities

• Strategic collaboration with directors, architects, and governance bodies to deliver complex programs.
• Design, deploy, and maintain segmentation and security controls across environments.
• Interface with Security Architecture Council and cross-functional teams for alignment.
• Support cloud continuum adoption and digital transformation initiatives.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Shell) to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Create project plans, assess impacts, and troubleshoot high-impact issues.
• Define hardware specs and continuously optimize engineering processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership with autonomy.
• Drive long-term solutions to prevent recurring issues.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, rules, and internal policies.
