Job summary

Citi Solutions Center Poland seeks a Lead Cyber Security Engineer to drive scalable security architectures and cloud security initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and high-quality security controls, including micro-segmentation with Illumio and VMware vDefend.

The role requires 5+ years in cybersecurity within a large enterprise, leadership experience, and strong scripting/automation skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, technology infrastructure, or IT engineering within a large-scale enterprise.
• Leadership in senior engineering roles driving large-scale programs or technology transformation.
• Hands-on experience with micro-segmentation and network segmentation technologies.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security, firewalls, and network segmentation.
• Understanding of industry-standard security frameworks and corporate compliance standards.
• Strong ownership mindset with ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with Linux/Unix system administration is desirable.
• Solid understanding of proxy functionalities and network traffic management.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Directors, Architects, Steering Committees, CISO, and CTI partners to deliver complex programs.
• Segmentation Engineering: Design, deploy, and maintain micro-segmentation with VMware vDefend and related tools.
• Governance & Relationship Management: Interface with Citi’s Security Architecture Council and cross-functional teams.
• Digital Transformation: Support cloud continuum adoption and holistic transformation initiatives.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts (Python, Shell) for routine tasks and provisioning.
• Project & Incident Management: Create plans, analyze impact, and troubleshoot high-impact issues.
• Process Optimization: Define hardware specs and continuously improve engineering processes.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Guide junior engineers with high autonomy.
• Problem Management: Drive long-term solutions to prevent recurring issues.
• Risk & Compliance: Ensure alignment with laws, rules, and internal policies.
