Citi in Poland is seeking a Lead Cyber Security Engineer to drive design, acquisition, and deployment of security infrastructure, ensuring compliance with high standards. You will coordinate with the Technology team to define scalable security architectures and enable risk-reducing capabilities across on-premise and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, technology infrastructure, or IT engineering within a large-scale enterprise.
• Leadership or senior engineering roles, driving large-scale programs or technology transformation initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with micro-segmentation and network segmentation technologies (e.g., Illumio, VMware vDefend, Zscaler, Palo Alto Networks).
• Deep technical knowledge of cybersecurity solutions focusing on cloud security, firewalls, and network/macro/micro-segmentation.
• Thorough understanding of industry-standard security frameworks and corporate technology compliance standards.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under pressure in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Advanced analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Linux/Unix system administration is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of proxy functionalities, features, and network traffic management.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Transformation Program Directors, Senior Architects, Steering Committees, CISO, and CTI partners to deliver complex programs.
• Segmentation Engineering: Design, deploy, and maintain VMWare vDefend Security Controls and micro-segmentation solutions.
• Governance & Relationship Management: Interface with Citi’s Security Architecture Council and Working Groups.
• Digital Transformation: Support Citi’s cloud continuum and digital transformation initiatives.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts (Python, Shell) to streamline tasks including installations, patching, and provisioning.
• Project & Incident Management: Create project plans, perform impact analyses, and troubleshoot high-impact issues to restore services.
• Process Optimization: Define hardware specs and optimize engineering processes and procedures.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Guide junior engineers with autonomy.
• Problem Management: Design and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurring issues.
• Risk & Compliance: Assess risk and drive compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies.
