Job summary

Lyten is seeking a Senior Battery Simulation Engineer to develop and validate comprehensive battery models for ESV design, optimization, and performance assessment. You will combine battery physics with system-level engineering to forecast behavior and support product development.

Responsibilities include multi-physics simulations, model validation against test data, and collaboration with engineers across disciplines to drive design decisions and continuous improvement throughout the product

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, energy engineering, physics, electrochemistry, or related field.
Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery technologies and system behavior.
Experience with battery modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Python, COMSOL, ANSYS, GT‑SUITE, or equivalent.
Experience validating simulation models against test data.
Knowledge of battery degradation, thermal management, safety, and BMS.
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and provide practical engineering solutions.
English- Advanced

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain battery models from cell to system level.
Perform electrical, thermal, electrochemical, and degradation simulations to predict performance, safety, efficiency, and lifetime.
Validate simulation models against test data and improve accuracy.
Support system architecture and design decisions through modeling.
Correlate models with laboratory data and lab test data to ensure accuracy.
Generate technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Contribute to roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives.
