Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery technologies and system behavior.
  • Experience with battery modeling and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, Python, COMSOL, ANSYS, GT-SUITE).
  • Experience validating simulation models against test data.
  • Knowledge of battery degradation, thermal management, safety, and BMS.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems and provide practical engineering solutions.
  • English - Advanced.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain battery cell, module, pack, and system-level simulation models.
  • Perform electrical, thermal, electrochemical, and degradation simulations to predict battery performance.
  • Define, maintain, and validate simulation requirements and methodologies.
  • Support system architecture and design decisions through modeling and simulation activities.
  • Evaluate design trade-offs related to energy density, power, safety, performance, reliability, cost, and product lifetime.
  • Collaborate with System Engineers, BMS Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Software Engineers, Validation Teams, and external suppliers.
  • Correlate simulation models with laboratory and field test data and continuously improve model accuracy.
  • Generate technical reports and present simulation findings to project stakeholders and management.
  • Contribute to technology roadmaps and continuous improvement initiatives within battery and energy storage development.
