SentinelOne, Inc. is hiring a Principal AI Platform Engineer / Principal Software Engineer focused on AI/ML to lead the SentinelOne AI Platform team.

You will define technical vision, drive multi-year roadmaps, and partner with engineering leadership to shape the platform used by all AI-powered capabilities. You will own architecture decisions, set engineering standards, mentor senior engineers, and collaborate with product teams to deliver scalable, reusable platform capabilities that

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience taking LLM-based systems to production (model integration, routing, evaluation harnesses, cost/latency/quality).
• Strong coding skills in a mainstream backend language (Python or Go) and deep experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong product acumen with experience building world-class customer-facing products and translating customer needs into technical decisions.
• Proven track record as a tech lead of cross-team initiatives with ambiguous requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision and multi-year roadmap for SentinelOne's AI Platform (model gateway/routing, agent/MCP infrastructure, evaluation pipelines, AI observability) in partnership with engineering leadership.
• Serve as the tech lead by owning architecture decisions, setting engineering standards, reviewing critical designs, and guiding implementation across the team.
• Support business-critical AI initiatives, partnering with product and engineering leaders to translate business strategy into platform capabilities and clear engineering priorities.
• Partner with product teams to build customer-facing AI experiences hands-on, then platformize what was built into shared, reusable capabilities.
• Drive technology selection and build-vs-buy decisions for the platform's core stack, weighing security, cost, scalability, and time-to-value.
• Mentor senior engineers across the organization and act as a recognized expert on AI infrastructure within and beyond the company.
