Job summary

Verisk is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex AI solutions across our enterprise data platform. You will define technical standards, mentor junior engineers, and bridge business requirements with production AI systems, leveraging AWS, Snowflake, and ThoughtSpot.

You will collaborate with data engineers, platform architects, and stakeholders to shape requirements, ensure governance, and drive scalable, secure AI deployments in production.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or higher in AI, CS, DS, software engineering or related field.
• 4+ years software/AI engineering; 2–3 years deploying AI/ML in production.
• Experience designing secure enterprise AI integrations.
• Strong knowledge of vector search, RAG, and LLM fine-tuning.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of multi-component AI systems across the data platform.
• Define architectural patterns and standards for AI development.
• Drive secure, scalable integrations with Snowflake and AWS services.
• Own AI solution quality including evaluation, monitoring, and cost governance.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with data engineers and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews.
• Champion AI governance including security and data access.
• Identify risks and communicate with engineering leadership.
• Contribute to hiring processes and role expectations.
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions with senior stakeholders.
