Job summary

EPAM Systems, a global AI transformation leader, seeks a Lead AI Data Software Engineer to join its Data Competency Center. You will lead engineering teams delivering diverse AI-driven data solutions across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments.

Expect collaboration with product and tech partners, mentorship, and high-quality software practices. You will shape architecture, drive AI adoption, and contribute to documentation while growing in a dynamic, globally connected team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with data engineering tech.
• Advanced knowledge of Python and modern data tooling.
• Experience with Spark and Databricks in cloud environments.
• Experience leading small to mid-size teams using Agile methods.
• Excellent English communication (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement analytical solutions using Cloud Native, Data, and NoSQL technologies.
• Drive AI adoption and collaborate with product and engineering teams on requirements and architecture.
• Mentor engineers, participate in code reviews, and ensure best-practice delivery.
• Write project documentation and foster a high-performance engineering culture.
