Job summary

UST in Gdansk is seeking a motivated Lab Technician to support daily operations in client validation laboratories. The role involves monitoring system health, performing hardware and software recovery, installing and configuring Windows and Linux, and ensuring lab readiness for engineering teams.

You will assemble hardware, manage inventory, assist with equipment movement and logistics, and document recovery actions to maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of computer hardware and operating systems.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting methodologies.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow technical procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Device Under Test (DUT) health using Grafana, Zabbix, ELMO, and related monitoring tools.
• Execute predefined recovery procedures for systems and test environments.
• Install and configure Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Perform firmware flashing activities using manual and automated methods.
• Assemble hardware components and replace faulty parts as required.
• Provision machines and prepare test environments for validation activities.
• Support rack installation, cable management, and hardware upgrades.
• Maintain inventory records and update tracking systems.
• Assist with equipment movement, logistics, and lab organization.
• Verify machine health and escalated issues following established procedures.
• Document recovery actions and maintain operational records.
