Job summary

Spyro Soft Kraków is seeking a QA Engineer to strengthen the testing of video and audio solutions in a hybrid role. You will lead verification and validation of AV products, ensuring top-tier performance for global customers, and collaborate with product teams across embedded Linux, Android, and cross‑platform environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, test planning, and clear documentation of results to drive product quality across connected devices and streaming workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years in QA/testing roles with hands-on experience testing video/audio products.
• Advanced experience in embedded Linux and Android environments.
• Strong cross-platform testing skills across Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS with focus on audio/video.
• Understanding of AV codecs, streaming protocols, and multimedia performance metrics.
• Understanding of USB, Bluetooth, and WiFi/Ethernet protocols.
• Proven ability to document test results and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on testing of video and audio products (cameras, microphones, conferencing systems).
• Analyze, design, and execute test scenarios focused on real-world AV usage and cross‑platform integration.
• Collaborate with product teams to maintain high multimedia quality standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4–5 years in QA/testing roles, with demonstrable, primary hands-on experience in testing video and/or audio products (e.g., cameras, conferencing devices, mics, video bars, streaming solutions)

• Advanced experience working in embedded Linux and Android environments

• Strong cross-platform testing skills (Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS) with a focus on audio/video functionality

• Understanding of AV codecs, streaming protocols, and multimedia performance metrics

• Understanding of USB, Bluetooth, and Wifi/Ethernet protocols

• Proven ability to clearly document test results and communicate findings effectively.

Nice to have:

• Experienced in using AI tools in day-to-day workflow

• Experience using network sniffers (e.g., Wireshark) and debugging tools (e.g., ADB) for analyzing embedded and cross-platform communication issues

Main responsibilities:

• Video & Audio Solution Testing (Primary Focus)

• Take the lead in hands-on testing of video and audio products, such as cameras, microphones and conferencing systems

• Analyze, design, and execute test scenarios focused on real-world audio/video usage, assessing streaming quality, feature sets, and cross-platform integration

• Collaborate actively with product teams to set and maintain the highest quality standards for multimedia devices

• Embedded & Cross-Platform Testing

• Drive testing of multimedia device performance in embedded Linux and Android environments, plus Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS systems

• Validate a full range of device connectivity, emphasizing AV quality over USB, Bluetooth, and Wifi/Ethernet

• Test Planning & Execution

• Review requirements and specifications to develop comprehensive test coverage with special priority for audio/video features

• Maintain and execute detailed test cases, ensuring thorough evaluation around AV quality and product risk
