Job summary

DXC Luxoft in Kraków is seeking a Software Quality Engineer (Regular level) focused on manual, component-level testing for video collaboration devices with embedded Android.

You will execute manual tests, validate software components, and collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure reliable hardware–software integration in a lab environment.

The role follows a hybrid work model with on-site presence in Kraków, and requires strong English and Polish communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manual software testing experience, preferably at component or subsystem level.
• Hands-on testing of embedded systems or hardware-related products.
• Strong Linux/macOS knowledge, including terminal usage and SSH.
• Familiarity with embedded Linux/macOS debugging tools.
• Experience with JIRA for defect tracking and test execution.
• Good networking understanding (IP addressing, connectivity, diagnostics).
• Ability to create clear, structured test documentation.
• Fluency in English and Polish (spoken and written).
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model with on-site presence in Kraków.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual, component-level test cases.
• Validate software components and subsystems before system integration.
• Perform regression, exploratory, and ad hoc testing.
• Conduct functional testing focused on component behavior.
• Validate hardware–software interactions in lab and real devices.
• Issue verification: reproduce defects, re-test fixes.
• Collaborate with developers, automation engineers, and product owners.
