Job summary

Nexteer Automotive EMEASA in Poland seeks a CAD Design Engineer to generate 3D solid designs, assemblies and drawings for Driveline and Electric Power Steering products. You will modify existing models under guidance and propose alternatives.

Proficiency in NX and Teamcenter, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and 2D drawing creation is required; strong mathematical analysis and communication skills are essential for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience using CAD for model creation in automotive projects.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5-2009.
• Ability to evaluate tolerance stack-up.
• Familiarity with NX and Teamcenter workflows.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD DESIGN software to generate 3D solid designs, assemblies, and associated drawings for complex Driveline and Electric Power Steering products.
• Modifying existing 3D models under guidance of Design Responsible Engineer, proposing alternatives when appropriate.
• Analyze static and dynamic clearances between EPS system and vehicle environment; document critical clearances with sections and dimensions.
• Create 2D drawings of modified components and subassemblies per Nexteer standards and GD&T rules.
• Perform mass calculations using 3D model and component densities provided by Design Responsible Engineer.

Job description

• Use CAD DESIGN software to generate 3D solid DESIGNs, assemblies, and associated drawings for complex Driveline and Electric Power Steering products (EPS),
• Modifying existing 3D model using instructions from Design Responsible Engineer. Proposing alternative designs if
• Analysis of static and dynamic clearances between EPS system and vehicle environment. Documenting critical
• clearances with sections and dimensions,
• Creating 2D drawings of modified components and subassemblies in accordance with Nexteer drawings standards and GD&T rules (ASME Y14.5-2009),
• Perform mass calculations using 3D model and density of components provided by Design Responsible Engineer.
• REQUIREMENTS:
• Experienced in use of CAD for model creation: Intermediate knowledge of Teamcenter and NX software,
• Competent in 3D CAD, including solid modeling, assemblies, and drafting. Ability to evaluate basic tolerance stack-up,
• Ability to create parametric solids and free form surfaces. Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning test (GD&T),
• Basic knowledge of algebra, geometry, trigonometry. Analytical skills to solve complex 3D problems,
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others. Oral and written communication,
• Basic familiarity with various forming and assembly techniques used in automotive industry,
