Job summary

ABB in Katowice is seeking a Junior Sales Support Specialist to join the Analytical Systems team. You will support European sales of analytical systems, including CEMS, gas chromatographs, and water analyzers, with hybrid work arrangement (office-based in Katowice).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical)
• At least one year of experience in preparing technical quotations related to automation, protection systems, or experience as a design engineer in automation, process analytics, system integration, or instrumentation products.
• Ability to analyze technical specifications, discuss technical requirements with customers, and develop appropriate technical solutions.
• Understanding of analytical products, solutions, and applications including CEMS, Process Gas Chromatographs, Laser Analyzers, FT-IR and FT-NIR Spectrometers; Knowledge of instrumentation and control (I&C) products and systems.
• Fluent written and spoken Polish and English.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under time pressure while managing business objectives.

• Preparing technical and commercial quotations for instrumentation and control solutions (I&C), including pricing, technical solutions, and project execution considerations.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with customers.

• Ensuring effective marketing activities for customers.
• Analyzing tender and bid documentation.
• Collaborating with internal departments throughout quotation and estimation process.
• Calculating investment costs for projects in petrochemical, chemical, gas, and related industries.
• Preparing inquiries and obtaining quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Conducting negotiations with domestic and international customers.
