Job summary

Hitachi Digital is seeking a Junior Project Accountant to support project accounting, invoicing, and revenue recognition in a labor-based environment. You will report to the Finance Manager and work with Delivery, Sales, and Finance to ensure data integrity across customer projects.

Responsibilities include month-end close, reviewing contracts for terms, and coordinating with ERP teams to automate processes.

Qualifications

Familiarity with revenue accounting processes and controls.
Experience reviewing contracts for standard terms and billing setup.
Knowledge of US GAAP and journal entries related to revenue.
Strong numeric and analytical capabilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Own revenue cycle processes ensuring proper revenue recognition per US GAAP.
Review contracts and POs for non-standard terms affecting billing.
Collaborate with management to verify client contracts and data accuracy.
Record monthly revenue recognition and related journal entries.
Process customer invoices for Time and Materials, Fixed Price, and Cost Plus PSC.
Manage month-end close and reconcile revenue-related accounts.
Support internal and external audit schedules with accuracy.
Resolve billing queries with Delivery, Sales, Finance teams.
Identify opportunities to streamline revenue processes.
Work with ERP team to automate revenue-related workflows.
