EPAM Systems Kraków is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our Poland team. You will develop and maintain software components using Java, write tests, and contribute to RESTful services in an Agile environment, collaborating with developers, QA engineers, and business analysts.

Qualifications

• 9–12 months of production software development experience.
• Solid Java fundamentals, including modern features.
• Proficient in SQL with relational databases.
• Experience with unit testing and test principles (JUnit).
• Knowledge of REST concepts, HTTP methods, status codes, and request/response structure.
• Hands-on experience with Git for version control and collaboration.
• Working knowledge of Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform basics.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Proficiency in English (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software components using Java under senior guidance.
• Write clean, well-structured, readable code following team standards.
• Implement and consume RESTful APIs as part of development tasks.
• Write unit tests to ensure correctness and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold quality.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and business analysts in Agile environment.
• Use version control systems to manage changes and contribute to repositories.
• Investigate and resolve bugs reported during testing or production.
• Participate in team ceremonies like stand-ups and sprint planning.
• Continuously learn new technologies to grow professionally.
