Job summary

Ammega Group in Katowice seeks a Junior GL Accountant to maintain general ledger entries, post journal entries, and support month-end close. You will reconcile balance sheet accounts, assist with intercompany transactions, and help prepare group reporting in a hybrid work model.

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance or Accounting, English (min B2), strong Excel, and analytical mindset are required; experience in finance and GL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance & Accounting.
• Good command of English (min. B2).
• Experience in finance area; BPO/SSC exposure is a plus.
• Good understanding of GL processes is an asset.
• Strong MS Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in process transition and creating operating docs is a plus.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model.

Responsibilities

• Perform month end closing activities in a timely and accurate manner.
• Calculate and post journal entries.
• Monthly reporting to the Group.
• Maintain fixed asset process.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Create and maintain process documentation.
• Participate in process improvement activities.
• Support knowledge transfer from other locations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate records.
• Assist auditors and controllers as needed.

For our Finance Department, we are currently looking for a Junior GL Accountant.

As a General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining general ledger entries and reconciling financial statements. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring that ledger data is accurate and precise.

Responsibilities:

• Perform month end closing activities in a timely and accurate manner

• Calculate and post journal entries

• Monthly reporting to the Group

• Maintain fixed asset process

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts

• Reconcile intercompany transactions

• Create and maintain process documentation

• Participate in process improvement activities

• Participate in knowledge transfer projects from other company locations

• Collaborate with other departments to complete accurate records

• Support the Auditor, Controller and other financial professionals in their duties as needed

We are looking for you to have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field (Finance & Accounting)

• Good command of English (min. B2)

• Experience in finance area, within BPO/SSC will be an asset

• Good understanding of GL processes will be an asset

• Good MS Excel skills

• Good level of problem-solving

• Strong analytical mindset, attention to details

• Experience in process transition and preparation of operating instructions will be an asset

• Readiness to work in the hybrid model
