Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH in Wroclaw invites applicants for a Junior Data Protection Specialist role within our Legal & Compliance team at the GBS Center. You will advise on data processing agreements, SCCs, TIAs, and data protection measures across Europe, while supporting contract negotiations and internal training.

Ideal candidates have 0–1 year of DP experience, strong English skills, and a willingness to learn. Experience with DPAs, TIAs, and ROPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 0–1 year of experience in data protection or related field.
• Strong command of business and legal English (min. B2).
• Familiarity with DPAs/EU SCCs, TIAs, and ROPA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advising partners across Europe on DPAs, EU SCCs, TIAs, and security measures.
• Support in contract negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify, document, and assess personal data processing activities for ROPA.
• Conduct Data Protection monitoring to ensure compliance with global procedures.

Tasks & responsibilities

As a Junior Data Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Advising business partners across Europe on Data Processing Agreements, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, Transfer Impact Assessment and Technical & Organizational Measures, following defined playbooks, risk parameters, and SLAs.
• Supporting contract negotiations by collaborating with internal stakeholders and interacting directly with external partners.
• Assisting in identifying, documenting, and assessing personal data processing activities for the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA).
• Conducting Data Protection monitoring activities to ensure compliance with global procedures and standards.
• Providing guidance and training on legal systems and tools such as wizard applications, Contract Lifecycle Management systems, and e‑signature solutions.
• Collaborating with internal networks and cross‑functional teams on diverse legal topics.
• Performing and overseeing quality management routines and drive process improvement efforts.
• Ensuring the proper intake and tracking of requests and matters in the designated systems.

About our future employee

You should have excellent command of business and legal English (min. B2) and a strong willingness to continue learning and 0-1 years of experience in the field of data protection, ideally including reviewing, redlining and negotiating DPAs/EU SCCs, conducting TIAs and maintaining ROPA.

Aditionally we are looking for:

• Experience in shared legal service structures, in‑house legal departments, or law firms; familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Administration or Management; a Law degree is an advantage.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• High learning agility and a proactive mindset.
