Job summary

Rockwell Automation in Katowice is seeking a motivated Junior Buyer to join our procurement team. You will support processes for direct materials and production components, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing.

The role offers exposure to supplier evaluation, RFQs, cost analysis, and cross-functional collaboration within a global manufacturing environment. Agency-employed position focusing on standard procurement practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or in progress in business, engineering, materials management, purchasing, or supply chain.
• Up to two years of relevant experience (internships or entry-level roles preferred).
• Legal authorization to work in Poland.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated and well-organized individual to join our procurement team as a (Junior) Buyer. This role will support procurement processes for key corporate functions, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of direct materials and production components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in supplier selection, evaluation, and contract negotiations.
• Support procurement data preparation and analysis.
• Upload and update supplier information in procurement systems.
• Prepare and manage RFQs (Request for Quotation) and assist in cost analysis.
• Maintain supplier communication and coordinate with internal departments.
• Contribute to global procurement standardization and best practices.
• Monitor purchase orders to ensure compliance with contracts and company policies.

Principal Duties:

• Evaluate and manage suppliers based on Total Cost of Ownership principles.
• Represent the company in supplier negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract resolutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Engineering, Production Planning, Global procurement) to align procurement with business needs.
• Support process improvements in procurement and supplier management.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, safety standards, and regulations (ISO 9001, ISO 14000, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications:

• During studies/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Materials Management, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Up to two years of relevant experience (internships or entry-level roles preferred).
• Legal authorization to work in the country.
