Job summary

Payair Technologies is seeking a Java Developer to build and maintain backend fintech products. You will collaborate with teams in Poland and Sweden to deliver scalable services for major payment players and Tier-1 banks.

The role requires hands-on Java development, REST APIs, secure coding, and teamwork within an agile, hybrid setup (50% on-site). Fluency in English is essential and knowledge of payments is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of commercial Java development experience.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Knowledge of application security best practices and secure coding.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience developing payment applications.
• Familiarity with Quarkus is a plus.
• Fluent English (spoken) at least B2.
• Strong teamwork and positive attitude.

We are looking for a Java Developer who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our new backend products. You will be closely working with other teams (located in Poland and Sweden) on developing new fintech products and services for the biggest players on the financial market, including Mastercard, Visa, PSPs, and Tier 1 banks.

Location
