Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a seasoned Java backend developer to build and optimize RESTful services in a modern financial services domain. You will design backend components, work with SQL databases, and contribute to architecture and CI/CD efforts from a Szczecin-area office.

The role requires 5+ years of Java with Spring, cloud and container experience, and Polish fluency. You will join a collaborative team delivering scalable financial software solutions for banking offers and services.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience developing Java applications with Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Strong SQL knowledge and query optimization skills.
• Git and CI/CD tooling experience (e.g., Azure DevOps).
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP) and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Kafka, Redis and ServiceMesh technologies.
• Fluent Polish and residing in Poland.

Join a project focused on implementing an offer model, enabling business banking app users to access service packages and additional functionalities within a unified solution. The system supports the development of modern financial services and allows flexible offer management for clients.

Your tasks

• Designing and developing backend Java applications according to requirements and standards
• Implementing and enhancing RESTful APIs
• Working with databases (SQL) and optimizing queries
• Collaborating with the team on system architecture design and development
• Writing and maintaining unit tests
• Participating in code reviews and ensuring code quality
• Cooperating with analysts, testers, and other team members
• Supporting deployment processes and CI/CD

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience developing Java applications using Spring Boot and Spring Framework
• Previous work designing and implementing RESTful APIs
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git) and CI/CD (e.g., Azure DevOps)
• Experience working with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of systems such as Kafka, Redis, ServiceMesh
• Ability to write unit testsRequired to reside in Poland and have fluent Polish language skills
