Job summary

ambiscale in Wrocław is seeking an independent Project Manager who can run several IT projects at once, talk to Developers about estimates and risks, and discuss scope and budget with clients. You’ll have room to shape project delivery and utilize AI to speed up documentation, reporting, and meeting prep.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage several IT projects from discovery to launch and growth.
• Own scope, priorities, timelines, budget, and profitability.
• Collaborate with Developers, Designers, QA, and DevOps; remove blockers.
• Proactively address scope creep, delays, or budget drift with clients.
• Communicate clearly with clients, set boundaries, negotiate changes, and explain impact.
• Listen to client needs for growth opportunities and new collaborations.
• Leverage AI and automation for documentation, reporting, and meeting notes.
• Collaborate with Delivery Manager, Tech Lead, and Sales on planning and delivery.

We’re looking for an independent Project Manager who feels at home in the software world: someone who can run several projects at once, talk to Developers about estimates and risks, and talk to clients about scope, budget, and what’s actually worth building.

We assume you already know the basics. We won’t teach you how to run a status meeting or build a backlog. What we will give you is room to make decisions, shape the way your projects are run, and look for better ways to deliver them.

And if you already use AI for more than drafting emails, and actually make your day-to-day work faster and smarter with it, even better.

We build end-to-end web and e-commerce solutions: from custom digital products, through optimization and DevOps/FinOps, to long-term support and maintenance.

We want you to understand what is happening in the project and use that context to make good decisions.

What will you do?

• independently manage several IT projects at the same time: from discovery and planning, through development, to launch and further growth,
• take responsibility for scope, priorities, timelines, budget, and profitability,
• work closely with Developers, Designers, QA, and DevOps, remove blockers, and keep projects moving at the right pace,
• react when tasks take longer than expected, scope starts growing, or the budget begins to drift (before it turns into a bigger problem),
• communicate with clients in a clear, respectful, and assertive way, including situations where you need to set boundaries, negotiate, or explain how a change will affect timeline or budget,
• listen carefully to clients and spot needs that could lead to project growth or further collaboration,
• care about both quality and business sense (not everything needs to be perfect, but everything should have a reason behind it),
• use AI and automation to make your work more efficient: documentation, reporting, organizing meeting notes, ticket management, meeting preparation, or other workflows,
• collaborate with the Delivery Manager, Tech Lead, and Sales team on project planning and delivery.

What do we expect from you?

• at least 3 years of experience independently managing software projects for external clients,
• experience in an environment similar to ours (ideally a software house, technology agency, or company running multiple client projects in parallel),
• experience managing several projects at once and confidence switching between different clients, teams, and business contexts,
• a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle: you don’t need to code, but we expect you to feel comfortable talking to technical teams and understanding where estimates, dependencies, and risks come from,
• a business mindset: you understand margin and profitability and know how scope creep, extra development hours, or project decisions affect the financial outcome,
• confidence in making decisions and taking responsibility for them,
• the ability to build strong client relationships without giving up assertiveness,
• practical use of AI in your everyday work and curiosity about new ways to improve your own workflow,
• very good Polish and English,
• readiness to work from our Wrocław office 4 days a week.
