Job summary

Wärtsilä Global Business Services in Gdańsk, Poland, invites you to join a growing Invoice to Pay team. You will handle supplier invoices, ensure timely payments, and support month-end close while driving process improvements in a multinational setting.

Hybrid work model and English fluency are required; a degree in accounting or related field is preferred. This role offers development opportunities within a global technology leader.

Qualifications

• Experience in Invoice-to-Pay / Accounts Payable processes.
• Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong communication and customer-oriented mindset; fluent English.
• Knowledge of ERP systems; SAP S/4HANA, Basware and ServiceNow are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Cooperate with suppliers and internal stakeholders worldwide.
• Monitor invoice workflows and resolve discrepancies.
• Support month-end closing, audits and internal controls.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and transformation projects.
• Work with SAP S/4HANA, Basware and ServiceNow tools.

Location of this position is Gdańsk, Poland. We offer a possibility to hybrid remote work.

Your role and responsibilities

What you'll do:

• Process purchase invoices and ensure timely payments
• Cooperate with suppliers and internal stakeholders worldwide
• Monitor invoice workflows and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end closing, audits, and internal controls
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and transformation projects
• Work with modern tools including SAP S/4HANA, Basware, and ServiceNow

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Experience in Invoice-to-Pay / Accounts Payable
• University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Good understanding of Invoice-to-Pay processes
• Strong communication skills and customer-oriented mindset
• Fluent English, with other languages seen as advantage
• Proactive, organized, and solution-focused approach
• Passion for learning and continuous improvement
• knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4 Hana, ServiceNow and Basware is an advantage
