Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Commissioning Technician in Katowice to join our team. You will commission machines, lines, and industrial equipment and test automation systems on client projects, collaborating with seasoned PLC programmers.

The role requires hands-on experience with automation devices, functional testing, and international travel around 60% of the year. English at B2 level is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commissioning and maintenance of machines and industrial equipment.
• Willingness to travel for business about 60% of the year to multiple countries.
• Ability to perform functional tests of machines and verify automated solutions.
• Knowledge of industrial automation and working with automation devices.
• Basic PLC programming skills are an additional advantage.
• English language proficiency at B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning and start-up of machines, lines, and equipment according to documentation.
• Test machines and PLC/HMI software (functional tests, operation verification).
• Check electrical connections and input/output signals (IO check).
• Parameterize automation devices (inverters, sensors, servo drives).
• Work with PLC environments such as TIA Portal, TwinCAT, or Studio 5000.
• Participate in start-up of lines at clients and collaborate with project team.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to commissioned automation systems.
• Participate in FAT and prepare required documentation.
