Job summary

METRO Global Solution Center in Szczecin is seeking a hands-on Intercompany Accounting Lead to manage partner settlements, invoicing, and reconciliation. You will own end-to-end processes, guide a growing team, and push for standardized, automated practices within a global, multicultural SSC.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Experience leading or managing a team.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Experience in managing finance and accounting processes.
• SAP knowledge (FI/CO modules) — a strong plus.
• Experience in an international, multicultural environment (preferably SSC/BPO).
• Strong MS Office skills, especially in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the Intercompany team (partner settlements & intercompany invoicing).
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of all performed activities and closing processes (Intercompany reconciliation).
• Establish solid understanding of end-to-end accounting processes within area.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members in complex accounting matters.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and operational excellence.
• Due to the people management responsibilities and the nature of the role, regular presence in the office will be beneficial to ensure effective collaboration and team support.
