Job summary

OBI Smart Technologies in Katowice is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support and evolve a large-scale international network environment. You will focus on enterprise networking, VoIP, and WLAN infrastructure, ensuring stability while contributing to standardization and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities include operating and optimizing Cisco-based network, SD-WAN and VPN solutions, VoIP systems, WLAN design, and incident management.

Qualifications

• Completed university degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering and operations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking (switching, routing, core/edge).
• Experience with Meraki, SD-WAN, and VPN technologies in enterprise environments.
• Solid understanding of VoIP systems and WLAN infrastructure.
• Experience with monitoring tools, ITSM processes, and incident management.
• Familiarity with automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) is a strong plus.
• Strong communication skills in English and Polish; readiness to hybrid work in Katowice.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure including Cisco switching, routing, and store connectivity.
• Support and improve SD-WAN, firewall, and connectivity solutions (Meraki, VPN, MPLS).
• Administer and troubleshoot VoIP and DECT systems (Cisco CUCM, CUBE, Ascom) globally.
• Design, operate, and troubleshoot WLAN environments including office and retail coverage.
• Monitor infrastructure using CheckMK and Meraki Dashboard to ensure performance and stability.
• Take ownership of incident management and root cause analysis, supporting escalations.
• Contribute to automation and standardization initiatives, including IaC and security improvements.

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to support and evolve a large-scale international network environment connecting retail locations across multiple countries.

You will focus on enterprise networking, VoIP, and WLAN infrastructure, ensuring stability of business-critical systems while contributing to standardization and automation initiatives.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Operate, maintain, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure, including Cisco-based switching, routing, and store connectivity.
• Support and improve SD-WAN, firewall, and connectivity solutions using technologies such as Meraki, VPN, and MPLS.
• Administer and troubleshoot VoIP and DECT systems (e.g. Cisco CUCM, CUBE, Ascom) in a global environment.
• Design, operate, and troubleshoot WLAN environments, including coverage planning for offices and retail locations.
• Monitor infrastructure using tools such as CheckMK and Meraki Dashboard, ensuring performance, stability, and issue resolution.
• Take ownership of incident management and root cause analysis, supporting escalations and collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
• Contribute to automation and standardization initiatives, including Infrastructure as Code, documentation, and security improvements.

• Strong communication skills in English and Polish, with readiness to work in a hybrid model in Katowice.
