Job summary

OBI Smart Technologies in Katowice is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join the Developer Experience (DX) team. You will design backend services with TypeScript/Node.js, build frontend with Vue/Nuxt, and create internal tools to boost developer productivity and platform visibility.

You will collaborate with DevOps on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability, perform root-cause analyses, and prototype new technologies through POCs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fullstack software development with hands-on delivery of production systems.
• Strong command of TypeScript, Node.js, and backend frameworks (NestJS).
• Frontend knowledge with Vue or Nuxt and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain backend services and APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS, with architectural trade-off decisions.
• Build and support frontend applications using Vue and Nuxt to deliver solid developer-facing UX.
• Develop internal tools and platforms to improve developer productivity, system visibility, and workflow automation.
• Evaluate technical solutions balancing cost, performance, complexity, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with DevOps on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability integration.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvements.
• Build POCs to validate new technologies and drive experimentation.

We are looking for a practical and collaborative Senior Fullstack Engineer to join the Developer Experience (DX) team in a large enterprise environment. The role focuses on building internal developer platforms, tools, and services that improve developer productivity, system visibility, and workflow automation. You will play a key role in shaping engineering solutions, making technical decisions, and driving improvements across the developer ecosystem.

• Design and maintain backend services and APIs using TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS, while making architectural decisions and evaluating trade-offs.
• Build and support frontend applications using Vue and Nuxt, ensuring good developer-facing UX.
• Develop internal tools and platforms that improve developer productivity, system visibility, and workflow automation.
• Evaluate technical solutions, balancing cost, performance, complexity, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers on cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability integration.

Qualifications

• Completed university degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• Strong background in fullstack software development (5+ years) with hands‑on delivery of production systems.
• Solid command of TypeScript, Node.js, and backend frameworks such as NestJS.
• Practical knowledge of building frontend applications using Vue or Nuxt.
• Good understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS: ECS, EKS, EC2, IAM, Lambda) and how services are deployed and operated.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / AWS CDK).
• Ability to work with technical design discussions, system architecture topics, and cross‑team engineering challenges.
• Strong communication skills in English and Polish , with readiness to work in a hybrid model in Katowice .
