Kyndryl Inc. is seeking a Senior IBM i Administrator & Power Systems Infrastructure Engineer to join our Poland team.

You will provide technical leadership for IBM Power environments, ensuring stability, security and ongoing improvements in a hybrid, remote-friendly setup. The role covers planning upgrades, DR design, disaster recovery execution, and close collaboration with storage, security, and business teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience administering IBM i environments in large enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of IBM Power Systems architecture.
• Hands-on with HMC, VIOS and PowerVM.
• Experience planning IBM i OS upgrades and PTF maintenance.
• Lifecycle maintenance across IBM Power servers, firmware, HMC, VIOS, IBM i.
• Experience with BRMS and disaster recovery concepts.
• SAN-connected IBM Power environments and storage zoning/mapping.
• IBM i security, auditing, and compliance understanding.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and lead investigations.

Responsibilities

• Manage IBM Power Systems infrastructure including Power servers, HMC, VIOS, LPARs, and PowerVM.
• Plan and execute IBM i OS upgrades and PTF maintenance.
• Lead infrastructure modernization, migrations, hardware refreshes, and platform upgrades.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive permanent solutions for recurring issues.
• Design and implement disaster recovery, backup, and high availability solutions (PowerHA, replication).
• Own IBM Power and IBM i configuration for SAN-connected environments; coordinate storage zoning/mapping.
• Support security compliance activities, audits, access management, and certificate administration.
• Define monitoring strategies and drive automation across the IBM i environment.
• Plan capacity and performance optimization for critical systems.
• Support enterprise backup solutions (BRMS, tape, VTL, DataDomain).
• Support software entitlement and license-key readiness for migrations.
