Katch in Louisville, KY is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage general ledger, monthly close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations. This role supports accounts receivable and recovery-related accounting activities and collaborates with cross-functional teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience (general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, monthly close).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for organizing, reconciling, and analyzing data.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, well-supported work.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Support the monthly close process with journal entries and period postings.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and research variances to resolution.
• Review and calculate refund, fee, and net amounts for Accounts Receivable and recovery teams.
• Analyze general ledger activity to identify discrepancies or issues needing research.
• Maintain documentation supporting journal entries, reconciliations, and activities.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
• Assist internal/external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Participate in process-improvement projects to strengthen controls and efficiency.
• Cross-train across accounting responsibilities to cover absences.
