ALTEN Polska is seeking an experienced Java developer to design, build, and maintain scalable microservices using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot 3.5. You will contribute across the full SDLC, adopt Agile and DevOps practices, and work on automated testing within a hybrid setup in Kraków.

The role requires 6+ years of Java development, DevSecOps knowledge, TDD expertise, and experience with PostgreSQL, Angular, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Java development (Java 17/21) and Spring Boot 3.5.
• DevSecOps knowledge, including pipeline setup and maintenance.
• TDD expertise (JUnit, Cucumber) and CI/CD implementation.
• PostgreSQL proficiency; familiarity with Oracle is a plus.
• Frontend skills (Angular 17, TypeScript, HTML5) for full-stack candidates.
• Cloud experience (GCP/AWS) for deployment and management.
• Messaging systems (REST APIs, MQ/Solace).
• In-memory data stores (Redis, Hazelcast).
• Automation tools (Ansible, scripting).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot 3.5.
• Contribute across the full SDLC—analysis, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Adopt Agile and DevOps practices, including TDD, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure high code quality and development velocity.
• Resolve incidents, monitor systems, and manage problems as part of on-call support (Level 3).
• Develop automated tools to improve support and operational efficiency.
• Mentor junior team members and drive innovative solutions for complex business challenges.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development.
• Translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
