Job summary

Aviva Services Excellence Centre in Poland seeks an experienced DevOps & Architecture Manager to lead a team of DevOps Engineers and Solution Architects supporting Aviva’s UK business. You will guide cloud-native solutions, drive DevOps excellence, and influence technology strategy while working with international teams.

The role emphasizes leadership, recruitment, and coaching within a hybrid work model from Poland, with office presence in Warsaw.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading technical teams within DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Software Development, or Architecture.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD practices, and modern software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of DevOps Engineers and Solution Architects.
• Provide strategic direction and technical guidance to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Drive adoption of modern DevOps practices, cloud technologies, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Execute recruitment, performance management, coaching, and career development within the team.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders across international teams.
• Guide the design and delivery of secure, resilient, and scalable cloud-native solutions.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, operational excellence, and cost optimisation initiatives.
