Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Kraków is seeking a Cybersecurity Incident Response Analyst to help safeguard our mission in renewable energy within a modern, hybrid work environment. You will join the Cyber Defense Center (CDC) to protect critical operations across the globe.

In this role, you’ll monitor security systems, assist in initial incident investigations, document findings, and collaborate with the 24/7 Security Monitoring team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in cyber security or IT.
• Experience in a cybersecurity-related role such as security operations or threat detection.
• Familiar with SIEM platforms and basic threat detection techniques.
• Able to communicate clearly and work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• On-call flexibility for incidents outside regular hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and alerts to identify potential incidents.
• Assist in the initial investigation of security incidents, performing triage and escalating to senior team members as needed.
• Document and report on findings from security monitoring activities.
• Collaborate with the 24/7 Security Monitoring team to ensure timely detection and response to threats.
• Support Incident Response processes by gathering relevant information and aiding in analysis.
• Participate in the development and improvement of incident response playbooks, procedures, and workflows.
• Assist with post-incident reviews and the documentation of lessons learned.
• Assist in ensuring that incident response activities align with regulatory requirements and organisational policies.
