Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Cybersecurity Incident Response Analyst to join our Cyber Defense Center (CDC). You will monitor security systems, assist in incident investigations, and help develop playbooks to strengthen our response capabilities across 24/7 operations.

You’ll collaborate with global teams in a hybrid work setup, engage with diverse stakeholders, and adapt to security events spanning IT, OT/ICS, cloud, and supply chain environments. Growth within cybersecurity is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; OR equivalent experience with A Levels/BTEC.
• Experience in a cybersecurity-related role (Security Operations, Threat Detection, or IT Support) in an enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and basic threat detection techniques.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Flexibility to be on-call for duties and incident response outside regular hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and alerts to identify potential incidents.
• Assist in initial investigation of security incidents, triage, and escalate as needed.
• Document and report findings from monitoring activities.
• Collaborate with the 24/7 Security Monitoring team for timely detection and response.
• Support Incident Response processes by gathering information and aiding analysis of incidents.
• Help develop and improve incident response playbooks, procedures, and workflows.
• Assist in post-incident reviews and documenting lessons learned.
• Ensure incident response activities align with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
