Job summary

Nokia in Wroclaw is seeking a seasoned Radio Research Specialist to lead 6G research and standardization within the Physical Layer Standardization & Research team. You will drive end-to-end radio research, integrating MIMO, initial access, AI-enabled PHY techniques, and RF performance.

Collaborating with RAN, RF, and system teams, you will evaluate concepts via simulations, contribute to 3GPP work, and define robust evaluation methodologies for AI-enabled PHY.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, communications, signal processing, or related field.
• Experience developing link-level and system-level simulators for wireless research and standardization.
• Strong understanding of 3GPP standardization processes and CR handling.
• Experience in multinational and cross-cultural environments.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end 6G radio research and integration.
• Validate radio access concepts through link-level and system-level simulations.
• Develop 6G IP and AI-enabled PHY techniques.
• Embed AI principles into 6G standards research and evaluation methodologies.
• Represent Nokia in 3GPP and external research forums.
• Shape Nokia’s 6G tech and standards roadmap across MIMO, initial access, RF performance, and AI radio.
• Collaborate with RAN Protocols, RF, regulatory, and system teams to transition concepts to product technologies.
