Job summary

SD Worx is hiring a Team Manager HR Operations in Katowice to lead the payroll operations team, ensure accurate payroll processing, and drive compliance and process improvements. The role combines payroll expertise with people leadership and a strong customer focus to deliver high-quality outsourcing services.

You will oversee KPIs, develop your team, and collaborate with auditors while supporting automation initiatives and continuous improvement across payroll processes.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of payroll experience in outsourced/shared services.
• Proven people leadership and development experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and social security.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
• German and English language skills (written and spoken).
• Service orientation and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lead with empathy and coach teams.
• Experience with agile/lean methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HR Operations Team to deliver high-quality payroll outsourcing services.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions and tax withholdings.
• Guarantee compliance with legal, tax, social security and internal regulations.
• Review and approve payroll results to meet deadlines.
• Define team objectives, KPIs and development plans.
• Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with auditors and identify process improvements and automation.
• Analyze payroll data to identify and resolve errors.
• Manage vendors and external partners; act as escalation point.
• Organize and support testing for system changes.
